Evelyn Marie Darling age 62 of Owosso, Michigan died Saturday, October 9, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital Saginaw, MI.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Pastor Ed Snook will officiate and burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery Fairfield Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11 from 6-8 P.M. & Wednesday, October 12 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Evelyn was born in Owosso, Michigan on November 7, 1942 the daughter of Jerry and Jennie ( Santrucek ) Vostrizansky. She resided most of her life in the Carland Area, and she graduated from Corunna High School with the class of 1961. Evelyn married Gary Darling on November 20, 1965 in Lansing, Michigan. She gave painting lessons. She enjoyed painting, traveling, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, gardening, and she enjoyed the pond in her yard.
She is survived by her husband Gary Darling of Owosso, MI, 2 daughters; Debbie & Pete Hurst of Elsie, MI, Carrie Darling of Williamston, MI, 1 son Mark & Kimberly Darling of Ovid, MI, 6 grandchildren; Tyrone, Maverick, Luke, Matthew, Katy, and Aaron, her mother Jennie Kubicek of Corunna, MI, 2 sisters; Elaine & Alfred Prietz of Solon, Ohio, Geraldine Hagadon of Corunna, MI and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her father.

Memorials may be made to the Shiawassee Council on Aging, United Church of Ovid or Elsie United Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
