Evelyn Florence Hudecek, age 92, of Owosso, MI passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, MI.

Private family services have taken place with burial at West Haven Cemetery, New Haven, MI.

Evelyn was born in Woodland, Michigan on December 11, 1916, the daughter of John "Henry" and Blanche (Guy) Hynes. Evelyn married George Hudecek on September 30, 1939 in Corunna, MI. He passed away March 3, 2004. She resided all of her adult life in Owosso.

Evelyn was a 1934 graduate of Woodland High School and was a teacher before she was married. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, reading, listening to polkas, cooking, playing cards, and was a baseball fan. She was a member of the Owosso V.F.W. Women's Auxilary and the Czecholslovak Society of America #411 of Owosso.

She is survived by her daughter Jean and Duane Schneider of Lake, MI; granddaughter Amy Williams of Harrison, MI; sister-in-law Betty Hynes of Woodland, MI. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Janet Schneider, 2 brothers, John & Dale Hynes and 2 sisters, Dorothy Walker & Audrey Schulte.
