Evelyn Martha McMonigle age 82 of Owosso, Michigan died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tony Monaster will officiate with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
Evelyn was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on November 16, 1925 the daughter of George and Eleanor ( Bragdon ) MacNeill. She resided most of her life in Detroit, moving to Owosso in 1986. Evelyn graduated from Thayer Academy in Massachusetts and she attended Houghton College in New York and Wayne State College in Detroit, Michigan. Evelyn married Clyde McMonigle on September 3, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away July 11, 1992. Evelyn taught school in the Detroit Public School system for 26 years. She loved music.
She is survived by her daughter Karen & Glenn Robinson of Henderson, NV, son David & Muriel McMonigle of Owosso, MI, grandchildren Kimberly Robinson, Claire & Bryan Smith, Chelsea McMonigle, sister Fran MacNeill, brother Don & Mary MacNeill, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband Clyde.
