Evelyn Kathryn Moiles, age 88, of Corunna, MI passed away Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, October 7th at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Randy Pouliot will officiate. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 P.M. and Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 2-8 with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI.
Evelyn was born in St. Charles, Michigan on December 4, 1920, the daughter of Frederick and Estelle (Young) Theile. She graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1939. Evelyn married Victor E. Moiles in Owosso on December 28, 1940. She worked for Universal Electric for sixteen years and then was the Matron of the Kitchen at the Shiawassee County Jail. Evelyn enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, ceramics, knitting and going fishing. She resided most of her life in the Owosso and Corunna area. Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corunna.
She is survived by her husband Victor; one daughter Rebecca and James Crane of Harrison, MI; two sons; Victor Jr. and Vicki Moiles of Copper Canyon, TX. John Moiles of Owosso, MI; five grandchildren Catherine Crane and Steve Parks; Jill Crane; Bart and Emiley Crane; Erika Moiles; Todd Moiles; three great granddaughters; Madisen Crane; Riley Crane; Peyton Crane; five sister-in-laws Dorothy Theile; Leora Bowker; Joyce Moiles; Barbara Verrier; Alvina Moiles. She is also survived by two brother-in-laws Eugene and Joyce Moiles: Lyle and Arvella Moiles and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother John Theile, one sister Maxine Hillier, three brother-in-laws J.C. Moiles; Otis Moiles; Carol Moiles and sister-in-law Leona Evoy.
