Evelyn Sutten

Evelyn B. Sutten age 83 of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Gratiot Medical Center Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Mr. Keith J. Wise will officiate with burial at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Seville Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Evelyn was born in Maple Rapids, Michigan on August 27, 1922 the daughter of Eddie Marion and Edna May ( Voss ) Waldron. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan and attended school at Windover Schools in Lake Station. Evelyn married Chester P. Sutten on May 11, 1938 in Marion, Michigan. He died on September 19, 1997. She retired from Wolverine World Wide. Evelyn loved to camp and fish. She enjoyed cooking, and entertaining her grandchildren. She loved her dog, Tedo.

Survivors include her 5 children; Edna Painter of St. Charles, MI, Herbert Sutten of St. Louis, MI, Wilma & Duane Myers of Greenville, MI, Robert & Kay Sutten of LaPorte, IN, Joyce Hersey of St. Louis, MI, 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren sister Mary L. Betts of Mt. Pleasant, MI, brother Welk Waldron of Belding, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 3 sons; Clifford, Cecil, & James, 1 sister, 4 brothers, son-in-law Walter Painter, and daughter-in-law Ginny Sutten.

Memorials may be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
