Everett McAllister

Everett Jay McAllister age 74, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held at the ZCBJ Hall, 401 East Main Street Bannister, MI 48807 on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 4:00 P.M.

Everett was born in Alma, MI on March 22, 1942, the son of Alex and Hazel Marjorie (Hudson) McAllister. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On July 17, 1969 he married Loreen Grubaugh in Grand Ledge, MI.  Everett retired from Total Petroleum in Alma, MI in 1999.  He was a woodworker and owned and operated McAllister Woodloft in Elsie, MI for many years. He was also a member of the Alma Elks Club.

He is survived by his wife Loreen McAllister of St. Johns, MI, 2 daughters by a previous marriage; Yvette Bauer of Alma, MI, and Lynette McAllister of New Mexico, 2 sons; Jason McAllister and fiancée Christina Fox of St. Johns, MI, Nathan and Ronda McAllister of Ashley, MI, daughter Megan and Eddie Jaquith Bath, MI, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister Deanne Schramke, and brother Lee and Tressa McAllister. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 brother Mark, and brother in law Jerry Schramke.
