Everett Greel Speers age 78 of Owosso died April 5, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at First Free Methodist Church Owosso, MI on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mark Kincaid will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. and Monday from 2-8 P.M. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., .
Everett was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 10, 1929 the son of John Everett Speers and Luella Ruth Henry. He resided most of his life in Shiawassee County and attended New Lothrop Schools. Everett married Beverly Ann Oliver on July 14, 1956 and she passed away on January 31, 2007. He served in the U.S. Marines and he then retired from G.M. Metal fabricating as a pipe fitter. He was a ten year patient of Fresenius Medical Care, Owosso Dialysis. Everett was a member of First Free United Methodist Church. .
He is survived by Son; Jon Speers of Owosso, MI, Son; Mitchell & Patricia Speers of Owosso, MI, Son; Jerry Speers of Harrisonwoods, MI, Daughter; Kimberly Whealy of Corunna, MI, Grandchildren; Joshua Speers, Tara Speers, Amber Lee, Taylor Whealy, Sister; Marjorie & Allen Pifer of Traverse City, MI, Sister; Juanita Garcia of Florida, Sister; Alice & Ed Sunderland of Florida, and he is also suvived by many nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife.
Memorials may be made to Fresenius Medical Care, Owosso Dialysis or First Free United Methodist Church. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel.
