F. Stewart Watt age 83 of Owosso, Michigan died Monday, March 10, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Owosso, Michigan on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Rev. James Watt and Rev. Norman R. Beckwith Sr. will officiate with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI. and on Friday, March 14, 2008 from Noon until time of service at the church.

Stewart was born in Trenton, Michigan on May 8, 1924 the son of William Stewart and Flora Ann Watt. He resided in Owosso since 1981. He graduated from Brown City High School and from MSU. Stewart married Betty Krimmel on September 12, 1944. She died on June 23, 2005. Stewart loved his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a mischievous sense of humor and enjoyed making people smile. He was a woodworker who was known to handcraft gifts for his family as well as thank you gifts for many people in the community. He enjoyed traveling, camping & gardening. Stewart was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Owosso, MI.

He is survived by his children; Carol Taylor of Owosso, MI, James & Cheryl Watt of Standish, MI, Sue & Mark Chatterley of Williamston, MI, daughter-in-law Sharon Watt of Woodland, WA, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and brother William & Terry Watt of New York. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, son Richard, sisters; Anna Winn and Flora Watt, and brother Gordon Watt.

Memorials may be made to Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee County or to Trinity United Methodist Church, Owosso, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
