Faye Martha LeCureux age 88 of Owosso, Michigan died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Norman R. Beckwith Sr. will officiate with burial at Pine Tree Cemetery Corunna, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
Faye was born in Corunna, Michigan on May 16, 1919 the daughter of Elon and Elsie (Adams) Rogers. She resided most of her life in Owosso, Michigan before moving to South Carolina in 1993 and back to Owosso in 2000. She graduated from Owosso High School and attended the Owosso Business College. Faye married LaVerne LeCureux on November 26, 1943 in Holly, Michigan. He died in April 1990. She worked for Owosso Livestock Sales and Firestone Tire Co. and drove a bus for Corunna Public Schools. Faye owned & operated LeCureux Chuck Wagon for Glardons Auctions. Faye was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Owosso, MI as well as the Corunna VFW Auxillary Post #4005, and a member of Gleaners. She was also a 4-H Leader and a past Caledonia Township Treasurer.
She is survived by her son David & Cindy LeCureux of Oakley, MI, son-in-law Roger Emerick of South Carolina, grandchildren; Crystal & Paul Tiede of Las Vagas, NV, Chanda & Derek Cavin of Georgia, Jacob Emerick of Ypsilanti, MI, Irene Emerick of South Carolina, 4 great grandchildren; Erin & Brian Emerick, Jeanette & Glenn Cavin, sister Norma & Edwin Parker of Laingsburg, MI, several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Pauline Emerick, grandson Mark Emerick, & 2 brothers Phillip & Paul Rogers.
Memorials may be made to the family or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan.
