Felix Malkaski Jr., age 92, of Ovid, MI passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Ovid Healthcare Center.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, October 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Father George J. Fekete will officiate and burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 1, 2009 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel.

Felix was born in Lansing, Michigan on May 3, 1917, the son of Felix and Helen Katherine (Koscemska) Malachowski. Felix resided most of his life in the Owosso area. Felix married Waneta in 1963 in Owosso, MI.

Felix was an avid bowler, enjoyed camping and fishing especially in the UP. He retired from Clinton Machine in Ovid and also worked for Midwest Abrasive in Owosso. He was known to be always building something. Felix was a member of ZCBJ Lodge #242 of Owosso.

He is survived by his wife Waneta Malkaski of Ovid, MI, son Donald and Maxine Malkaski of Chesaning, MI, step daughter Susan Turk of Owosso, MI, granddaughter Tonia Holland of Owosso, great-granddaughter Danyel Holland, 2 sisters; Mary Danks of Huntington Beach, CA, Ellie Bowles of Ovid, MI, and nieces and nephews. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Malachowski, Sr. & Helen Kucharski, daughter Sandra Barton, sisters; Pauline, Helen, Jenny, brothers; Joe, John, Stanley, Frank, and step-brother Zig Kucharski.
