Fleda Youngs

Fleda Marie Youngs, age 96, of St. Johns, MI died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at home.

There will be no services.

Fleda was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 9, 1913, the daughter of Orlando J. and Dolly (DeForest) Carr. She resided most of her life in the Lansing area moving to St. Johns in 2003. Fleda married Carl Alfred Youngs on June 6, 1931 in Lansing, Michigan; Carl predeceased her on August 8, 2001. Fleda was a Florist. During WWII she worked for Reo in Lansing, after that she worked for Behlens Florist in the Lansing area for many years. She was a former member of the Modern Woodsman Club and Maccabbes.

She is survived by her daughter Diane Harger of St. Johns, MI, son David Youngs of Leota, Michigan, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, and special daughter Betty Simon. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 granddaughter, and 1 sister.
