Florence Miller

Florence Mae Miller age 94, of Chesaning, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor David Mielke officiating.  Burial will take place at Ridge Road Cemetery, Brady, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., at the funeral home.

Florence was born in Chapin Township, MI on February 13, 1923, the daughter of Ray and Alice Marita (Thomas) Beach.  Florence married Kline Lewis Miller on January 23, 1945.  He passed away on October 29, 1988.  She resided most of her life in Chapin and Lake City, MI.

Florence and her husband enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.  She also enjoyed crocheting and playing card games.  Florence had worked at Redmond, Mitchell Bentley and Cadillac Molded Rubber.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lake City and Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chesaning.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly and Loyd Brown of Elsie, MI, daughter Irene and Bill Good of Elsie, MI, son Ritchie and LouAnn Miller of Alger, OH, son Dale and Jeannie Miller of Lake City, MI, daughter Robin Whipple of Traverse City, MI, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, brother Stanley and Allie Beach of ShiTown, MI, 3 sisters; Beatrice Hunt of Portland, MI, Hope Mills of Tampa, FL, Dorothy Myers of Largo, FL.  Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Alex Miller, grandson David, great-granddaughter Katelyn and siblings Rose, Don, Fred, Luella, Billy, Ray Junior and Clarence.
