Frances Genevieve Ash, age 98, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. John Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 16, 2010 from 6-8 PM and Friday, December 17, 2010 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Frances was born in Owosso, Michigan on February 22, 1912, the daughter of Marion and Genevieve (Kagel) Shepard. She resided all of her life in the Owosso area. Frances married Leonard Ash on November 6, 1937 in Owosso, MI. Leonard passed away on August 31, 1971. Frances was a member of the First Church of God, Owosso. Family was always a very important part of her life.
She is survived by her son Leonard and Arlene Ash of Owosso, MI, daughter Jennie and David White of Chesaning, MI, 9 grandchildren; Douglas and Joyce Ash, April Ash & Jody, Jeffery Ash & Kris, Tammy Larson & Greg, Brian and Kimberly White, Janice Hebekeuser & Eric, Diane Suthard & Bob, Tammy Ash, Richard Ash, 11 great-grandchildren; Andrew Ash, Steven Smith, Scott Smith, Amber Ash, Ashley Kraiger, Sarah Ash, Autumn Ash, Marlinia Ash, Tyler Ash, Tabitha Larson, Nathan and David Hebekeuser, 1 great-great-granddaughter Emmie Hebekeuser, sister-in-law Mary and Frank Petrus of Clearwater, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Floyd Ash, daughter Rosemary Ash, 4 brothers; Carl, Leo, Pat and Floyd Shepard and 2 sisters; Ruth Hanson and Vera Brault.
