Frances Burl

Frances E. Burl, age 92, died November 24, 2013. She was born on May 21, 1921 in St. Johns, the daughter of John and Rose (Martin) Ernst. She married Maurice Burl on February 15, 1940 and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1980. Frances was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was the former secretary of the St. Peter Lutheran Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Burl, Duane (Teresa) Burl all of St. Johns, Dennis (Melissa) Burl of Midland and Duncan Burl of Shelbyville, TN., 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, brother John Ernst, sister in law, Reva Ernst and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death along with her husband is her parents, infant son, William, two daughters, Carolyn Shutes and Sharon Decker, daughter in law, Debora Burl, sons in law, David Decker and William Shutes, grandson, Daniel Decker and great grandson, David Decker III.

The Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Wed., November 27, 2013 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Clark officiating, burial to follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., St. Johns. Contributions may be made in Frances' name to St. Peter Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
