Frances Kussy

Frances "Fran" B. Kussy, age 92, of Owosso, MI passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI. She will be in our thoughts and prayers always.

Fran was born in Dodgeville, U.P of Michigan on December 25, 1916, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Beljan) Kump.

Fran married Joseph Kussy, November 1939. He passed away in October 1995.

Fran was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, O.E.S. Auxiliary, Bryant School P.T.O. member, Croation Lodge Auxiliary and a Brownie Scout Leader. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, cards bingo, crocheting and crafts.

She is survived by her daughter Patti M. and Carl Reid of South Carolina, son Joseph M. Kussy of Florida, grandson Roy and Billie Jo Holbrook of Owosso, MI, granddaughters; Sharyl and Traci of South Carolina, grandsons; Scott, Keith and Brent; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and sister Mary Szabo of California. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sandie Bristow of Owosso in January 1991, son Lawrence Kussy in April 2005, and sister Helen Stimac of Detroit.
