Francis Lee "Jim" Huss Sr. age 75, of Ashley, Michigan died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Ingham Regional Medical Center, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate and visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel.

Francis was born in Ashley, Michigan on October 20, 1934, the son of Frank Henry and Ruby A. (Bolyard) Huss. On December 20, 1952 he married Jacqueline Luella Foss in Bridgeville, Michigan, Jackie died June 17, 2010, he resided most of his life in St. Johns & Ashley area.

Jim retired in 1989 as a pipe fitter from Olofsson Tool & Die in Lansing. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and attending the Buckley Steam Engine show. He was a member of the Odd Fellows & Rebekah Lodge.

He is survived by 5 sons; Francis "Frank" and Deb Huss Jr. of North Star, Michigan, Vernon Huss of Nashville, Kansas, Rodney Huss and Brenda Million of Ashley, Michigan, Douglas and Dora Huss of North Star, Michigan, Harold Huss of Nashville, Kansas, 7 grandchildren; Rachel & Matt Place, Dorothy, Douglas, Skyler, Rebecca, Aloysius, Tabitha, 1 great granddaughter Hope, brother Ernest and Ellen Huss of St. Johns, Michigan, and 2 sisters; Arnetia Mills of Ashley, Michigan, Laura Powers of St. Johns, Michigan. Jim was predeceased by his parents, wife, 4 sisters & 4 brothers.
