Frank A. Hutchings age 93 of Owosso, Michigan died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village, Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Pastor Edwin Snook will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M.
Frank was born in Bennington, Michigan on July 9, 1914 the son of Neuman and Maude ( Day ) Hutchings. He resided most of his life in Laingsburg and Owosso and graduated from Perry High School. Frank married Elizabeth Makara on April 4, 1936 in Bennington, Michigan. He was a carpenter. He enjoyed crafting, and did for years. Frank made toy trains, and games all out of wood. He loved to play cards and he was a Detroit Tigers fan. Frank was a member of Bobbin Robins, Good Sam Camping Club. He served in the National Guard and the Navy.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Hutchings of Owosso, MI, children; Neuman & Bonnie Hutchings of Ohio, Nancy & Joseph Robinson of Perry, MI, 7 grandchildren; Jennifer Hutchings, Shaun Hutchings, Bonnie Gee, Barbara Beatty, Timothy Purves, Lisa Harner, Laura Purves, many great grandchildren, and sister Ruth Prince of Flint, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, daughter Patricia Eissa, and other well loved siblings.
Memorials may be made to Memorial Healthcare Hospice, Owosso, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
