Franklin D. Hamann age 71 of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Covenant Harrison, Saginaw, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Mr. Keith J. Wise will officiate with burial at Chapel Garden Cemetery, Elwell, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2005 from 6-8 P.M.
Franklin was born in Flint, MI on March 27, 1934 the son of Grover and Nellie( Smith ) Hamann. He resided most of his life in St. Louis, Michigan. Franklin married Joan Paiva on December 27, 1970 in Flint, Michigan. He owned Smiley's Woodshed for many years. He then worked as a sales representative for St. Charles Lumber Products in St. Charles, MI until his retirement 9 years ago. He love to travel with his wife, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #1400 in Alma, MI.
He is survived by his wife Joan Hamann of St. Louis, MI, 3 daughters; Holly Binge of St. Louis, MI, Robin Puckett of St. Louis, MI, Lisa (Steve Canole) Gruenberg of Hemlock, MI, 7 grandchildren Kenneth, Amanda, Natasha, Jason, Nicole, Kassi, and Kayli, 1 great grandson Ryan, and sister Francis Reed of St. Ignace, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, and brother Grover.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
