Franklin Richardson

Franklin J. Richardson, age 88, of Elwell, MI passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Helzerman officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Franklin was born in Michigan on July 6, 1927, the son of Franklin  J. and Alice   Richardson. He was a native of St. Louis, MI. Frank married Ilah J. (Wright) Richarson on December 11, 1950 in Angola, IN. Ilah passed away on April 10, 2011.

Frank enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He served his Country in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was a member and volunteer of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, Riverdale, MI.

He is survived by his brother Donald  Richardson, sons; Kenneth R.  Nestle of Bolingbrook, IL, Michael (Marinell) Riggs of Olive Branch, MS, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Franklin Richardson and 2 brothers; Gary and Hank Richardson.
