Frederick Banghart

Frederick J. Banghart, age 83, of Owosso, MI passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Owosso, Michigan.

Frederick was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 24, 1927, the son of Jay and Bontagean (Buck) Banghart. He was a 1946 graduate of Owosso High School and attended GMI for 2 years. Frederick resided in Owosso until 1956 moving to Grand Blanc until 1982. He then moved to Twining, MI and eventually returned to Owosso. Frederick married Viola Crutts on August 26, 1950 in Owosso.

Frederick retired from GM Fisher Body of Grand Blanc in 1982 after 30 years. He worked as a Senior Industrial Engineer. He served on the Mundy Township Planning Commission for 10 years, the Mason Township Review Board, and as a Trustee for Methodist churches in Owosso and Grand Blanc. Frederick also enjoyed restoring antiques and player pianos.

He is survived by his wife Viola Banghart of Owosso, MI. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents.
