Frederick Earl Fuhrman, age 85 of Alma, MI formerly of Ithaca, MI and Englewood, FL died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI.

Fred was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 23, 1928, the son of Robert Earl and Julia (Kurek) Fuhrman. On August 25, 1950, Fred married Mae Marie Shock, she died on July 23, 2008. Fred was a Korean War Veteran in the US Army. He formerly co-owned/operated Ithaca Lumber. After retirement, he and Mae moved to Englewood, FL.

Fred is survived by son Brad and Sue Fuhrman of Perrinton, MI, daughter Juli Fuhrman of Rotunda West, FL, son Jason and Donna Fuhrman of Frostproof, FL, grandson Andrew Fuhrman of Perrinton, MI, granddaughter Katie Fuhrman and Steve Rose of Perrinton, MI, great grandson Brody Rose, brother Bill and Joanne Fuhrman of Ionia, MI, sister Barb and Norm Lange of Wheeler, MI, in-laws; Pat and Rod Degraw of Mt. Pleasant, MI and special friend Ardis Williams of Ithaca, MI. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mae, and Richard and Robert Shock.
