Gale Edmund Lott, age 75, of Owosso, MI passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor David Woodby will officiate. Burial will take place at West Haven Cemetery, New Haven Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2010 from 2-8 with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 P.M. by the Masonic Lodge #81 F&A.M.
Gale was born in Ovid, Michigan on February 27, 1934, the son of Arley and Mary (Inglehart) Lott. He attended Ovid High School and graduated with the class of 1952. Gale married Jo-Ann (Vairo) Balcom at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owosso on March 1, 1975. Gale worked for General Motors in Flint at the Chevy in the Hole Plant. He enjoyed raising German Short-hair dogs, hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards. Gale resided most of his life in the Owosso area. He was a member of the United Auto Workers local 659, Pheasants Forever, the Elf Khurafeh Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. and was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge #81 F&A.M.
He is survived by his wife Jo-Ann Lott, 7 children; Vincent Lott, Kevin Lott, Mark Lott, Lauralee Darling, Timothy and Lori Balcom, Joy and Gregg Eddy, Sandra Mills, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Gary and Christine Lott, sister Sarah and Richard Allen, and several nieces and nephews. Gale was predeceased by his parents.
