Gale Reeves

Gale B. Reeves age 84, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the North Star Township Hall on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI at a later date.

Gale was born in Hamilton Township, MI on November 11, 1933, the son of James and Ethel (Hoard) Reeves.  Gale graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1954.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Gale married Hazel A. Wilkinson on September 24, 1955, in Ithaca, MI.

Gale retired from Sealed Power in 1992 and was a lifelong farmer.  He loved restoring antique tractors, pedal tractors, and toy tractors.  He was a member of A-Tractive Tractor Club, Ithaca, MI.  Gale enjoyed woodworking; he built the home they lived in and many out buildings. Gale and Hazel spent more than 20 years wintering in Weirsdale, FL and loved the time there with family.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Hazel Reeves of Ithaca, MI; daughter Pamela and Gary Gardner of Shepherd, MI; son David Reeves of Weirsdale, FL; granddaughters: Rebecca Reeves of Weirsdale, FL; and Ashley Reeves of Ocala, FL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Miles Reeves.
