Gary Bast

Gary Allan Bast, age 59, of Ashley, MI passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his home.

There will be no services.

Gary was born in St. Johns, Michigan on August 8, 1955, the son of Donald and Alvina Bast and Terry Zimet.

Gary married Teresa (Snyder) on August 4, 1990 in the country on their family farm. Gary was a very skilled carpenter, working for many local contractors and farmers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mud bogs, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with his friends. He loved spending time with his wife, his daughters, grandchildren and siblings. Gary served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Bast, 4 daughters; Mandi and Brad Harden, Shallin Bast, Korie and Tony Strachota, Fawn Bast and Ramiro, grandchildren; Gabe, Katie, Lauren, Alysse, Logan, Camrin and Blake, brother Wayne and Connie Bast and sister Marcia and Ray Emig. He is also survived by his step siblings; Danny, Lonnie, Penny and a half sister, Gail. Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents, Don and Alvina Bast and Terry Zimet.
