Gary Leigh Holmes age 55 of Linden, Michigan died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Genesys Regional Health Park, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Pastor Jim Dennings will officiate with burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Bennington Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2005 from 2-8 P.M.
Gary was born in Owosso, Michigan on March 13, 1950 the son of Gale T. Holmes & Berniece I. ( Lamrouex ) Caverly. He resided most of his life in St. Johns, Michigan. He graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1968 and Central Michigan University with the class of 1972. He worked as an accountant. Gary married Linda Sue Rodriguez in Ovid, Michigan on March 10, 1973.
He is survived by his wife Linda Sue Holmes of Linden, MI, daughter Kelly & Chuck Vince of Linden, MI, son Kerry Holmes of St. Johns, MI, 1 grandson Benjamin Vince, 2 brothers; Duane Holmes of Sterling Heights, MI, and Gale L. & Connie Holmes of Okemos, MI, aunt Lucille Lamrouex, uncle Jack & Carol Holmes, uncle Lester & Betty Holmes, aunt Ella & Jack Cooper, aunt Mary & Jerry Schmidt, aunt Lola Da�(TM)Andrea. He is predeceased by his father Gale T. Holmes, mother Berniece Caverly, and step-father Harry Caverly. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
