Gary Pomerantz

Gary David Pomerantz, age 42, of Durand, MI passed away Tuesday, November 18th, 2008.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 AM, with Elder Shane Robb officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday 4-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel.

Gary was born at the Beale Air Force Base in California on March 29, 1966, the son of Gerald and Sharon (Gallaty) Pomerantz. He resided most of his life in Gaines Township & Durand. Gary was a graduate of Swartz Creek High School and received his Associate's Degree from Alpena Community College. He was employed by Siemens Software. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Gary and Andrea were married on May 31, 2008 in Oscoda, MI. He enjoyed race cars, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Pomerantz of Durand, MI; 3 children, Melissa & Andrew also a baby on the way of Durand, MI; his mother, Sharon Pomerantz of East Tawas, MI; father, Gerald Pomerantz of Mount Pleasant, MI; 3 sisters, Denise and Craig Ward of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Karen and Shane Robb of Elizabethtown, Kentucky also Darlene Pomerantz of Rock Hill, South Carolina;
4 brothers, Kenneth and Tess Pomerantz of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Larry Pomerantz of Fredricksburg, Maryland. Brian Pomerantz of Marquette, MI. David Pomerantz of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his son, Sean Pomerantz.
