Gary William Schrauben, age 66 of Fowler, MI, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fowler, MI, at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, with Rev. Fr. Peter Lawrence presiding. Burial will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler, MI. Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Goerge Chapel, Fowler, MI, on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Gary was born in St. Johns, Michigan on April 15, 1956, the son of William P. and Glenna J. (Willard) Schrauben. He was a graduate of Fowler High School. On April 19, 1986, he married Margaret M. Bozung in Hubbardston, MI, and she survives him.
Gary retired from General Motors after working for 30 years. He loved tractor pulling and enjoyed hunting. Old cars were his passion and enjoyed going to Car Shows. Gary will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Fowler, MI.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Schrauben of Fowler, MI; daughter Emily Lane of Montrose MI; daughter Ann Schrauben of St. Johns, MI; son John Schrauben and Chelsea Bartley of St. Johns, MI; grandson Noah Schrauben; brother William Schrauben of Fowler, MI; sister Debra Franks of Fowler, MI; brother Dean and Sue Schrauben of Fowler, MI; brother Donald and Rebecca Schrauben of Fowler, MI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Stephen Schrauben.
