Gary Terwilliger

Gary A. Terwilliger, age 53, of Alma, MI died on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Jim Amstutz will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Gary was born in Alma, Michigan on September 28, 1955, the son of William and Vivian (VanAtten) Terwilliger. He graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1974. He resided most of his life in the Riverdale and Alma area. Gary was an avid NASCAR and motocross fan, he enjoyed going to the races, and sunsets by the beach. He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, putting together model cars, and attending all sporting events for his children and grandchildren. Gary had been employed at Alma Products for the past 34 years.

He is survived by his four children; Tabatha and Bill Bartlett of Riverdale, MI, Gary and Deana Terwilliger of Germany, Melanie and Troy Sparks of Riverdale, MI, Tina and Trevor Aumaugher of Alma, MI, ten grandchildren, parents Bill and Vivian Terwilliger of Alma, MI, fiancée Cyndie Bowers of Alma, MI, brother Terry and Sherry Terwilliger of Elwell, MI, sister Cheri and Dennis Fowler of St. Louis, MI, brother Mike and Denise Terwilliger of Mt. Pleasant, MI, stepchildren; Jim and Shannon Ebling, Tommy Bowers, Lisa Bowers, Teresa Bowers, Adam Root, John Bowers, and Kammie and Jason Tryon. He was preceded in death by his brother William "Oz" Terwilliger, and 3 nephews; Todd, TJ, and Brett Terwilliger.
