Gene Sanford

Gene N. Sanford, age 73, of Bremerton, WA died Monday, September 26th, 2011 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, WA. A Graveside Service will be held at Chapel Gardens Cemetery on Monday, October 3rd at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Jim Bear will officiate. Burial will take place at Chapel Garden Cemetery in Seville Twp., Gratiot County, MI.

Gene was born in Freesoil, Michigan on August 30, 1938, the son of Loran M. and Virginia (Tubbs) Sanford. He earned his business administration degree from Southwestern College in California. He was married to Ursula (Sembritzki) Sanford. They were married October 31, 1964. Gene retired from the US Navy. He enjoyed sports, traveling, culture and arts.

He is survived by his wife Ursula Sanford of Bremerton, WA; daughter Tanya Miller of Waterloo, Iowa; grandson Ty Miller of Waterloo, Iowa; brother Fred and Rosalie Sanford of Alma, MI; and his sister Rosalie Sterling of St. Louis, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
