Geneva Irene Smith age 84 of Ithaca, Michigan died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Pine River Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate with burial at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Geneva was born in Evart, Michigan on March 1, 1920 the daughter of Ray Francis & Alta (Sturgis) McWilliams. She was a lifelong resident of Ithaca, Michigan. Geneva married Bernard Smith on October 15, 1938. He passed away in 1979. She was a homemaker and had retired from Sealed Power Company. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading.
She is survived by 2 sons Larry Smith of Ithaca, MI, Danny & Anne Smith of Traverse City, MI, 7 grandchildren; Debbie & Denny Smith of Ithaca, MI, Annette & Larry Mockridge of Ithaca, MI, Joe Smith of Ithaca, MI, Dan & Rob Smith of Wisconsin, Ron Smith of Ithaca, MI, Amy Brown of Traverse City, MI, Tanya & Dave Berlin of Kalamazoo, MI, 5 great grandchildren Nick, Mason, Chase, Dustin, & Caleb, 3 sisters; Mabel Stowers of St. Louis, MI, Loretta "Jeanie" First of Perrinton, MI, & Ilene Shinaberger of Perrinton, MI. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 sister, & 6 brothers.
