Genevieve Lena Chvojka age 81 of Breckenridge, Michigan passed away on Friday, August 13, 2004 at Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Mount St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Kevin Maksym will officiate with internment at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, Michigan. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 14, 2004 & Sunday August 15, 2004 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. In-state at the church one hour prior to service. Prayer service will be held on Sunday evening at 5:30 P.M.
Genevieve was born in Bannister, Michigan on December, 5, 1922 the daughter of Mike & Josephine ( Slamar ) Luznak. She attended Bannister area schools. Genevieve married Stephen Joe Chvojka on November 29, 1947 in Bannister, Michigan. Genevieve was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She resided most of her life in Breckenridge, Michigan. She was a member of Mount St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Louis, MI, as well as TOPS 794 of Merrill and Bannister ZCBJ Lodge #225. She is survived by her husband Stephen Joe Chvojka of Breckenridge, MI, son Stephen Jr. & Penny Chvojka of Breckenridge, MI son Jerry & Lori Chvojka of Breckenridge, MI 4 grandsons Scott Chvojka, Seth & Randi Chvojka-Foster, Chris & Sophia Dunsmore, Mike & Nancy Bateman, 3 granddaughters, Jenny & Jim Garchow, Becky & Jamie Wiklanski, Jodi Chvojka & fiancAC. Chris Thum, 8 great grandchildren, Ethan & Alex Garchow, Kevin Wiklanski, Drake & Kylie Chvojka-Foster, Matthew & Steven Bateman, Joon Allen Dunsmore, 2 sisters Rose Supp of Ionia, MI, Helen Havalda of Owosso, MI and 1 brother Mike Luznak of Bannister, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, 7 sisters, & 3 brothers.
