Genevieve Zavicar

Genevieve "Jean" Zavicar age 93 of Independence, MO, formerly of St. Louis, MI, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Kansas City, MO.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of the Lord Parish, Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Louis, MI, on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr Andrzej Boroch officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 5-8 P.M at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Genevieve was born in Detroit, MI on December 7, 1924 the daughter of Leo and Anna (Bigak) Naviskas. On November 27, 1947 she married Richard B. Zavicar; Richard predeceased her on January 28, 2002.  She was a member of Nativity of the Lord Parish, St. Louis, MI.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Ann and Douglas Honeycutt of Knoxville, TN; Stephanie Myatt of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, son Richard Wayne Zavicar and 2 sisters.
