George Fidler

George Hartford Fidler age 64 of Ithaca, Michigan died August 3, 2007 in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Memorial Services will be held at Seventh Day Adventist Church Ithaca, Michigan on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ken Micheff will officiate. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 for one hour prior to the service at 11:00 A.M.

George was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 10, 1943 the son of Warren E. and Ruth L.( McRoberts ) Fidler. He resided most of his life in Detroit and North Star, Michigan and graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1961. George married Marilyn Cynthia Ward on July 29, 1982 in Lansing, Michigan. George served in the National Guard. He worked as a Quality Control Inspector; and he also farmed. He enjoyed black powder shooting. George attended Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ithaca, MI, and was a member of the Broken Lock Muzzleloaders Club.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Fidler of Ithaca, MI, son Guy Fidler, daughter Susan & Aaron Athearn, 2 step-sons Andrew Courter & Forrest Courter, 2 granddaughters; Paige & Noel, 2 sisters; Carol & Eric Heckmann of Detroit, MI, Charlotte & Larry Porter of Ithaca, MI, 1 brother Alan & Pam Fidler of North Star, MI, and nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, and infant son Brian.
