George Goodrich

George Ivan Goodrich, age 82, of Wheeler, MI died Wednesday, February 17th, 2010 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Sunday, February 21st at 1:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 4-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes and Sunday, February 21, 2010 an hour prior to services. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate.

George was born in Alpena County, Michigan on October 6, 1927, the son of Sidney Walker and Vera Victorine (Spragg) Goodrich. He was married to Agnes Arlene (Wallin) Goodrich on October 29, 1954 in Alpena County, MI. George resided in Wheeler for the past 30 years. He retired from Midland Iron Works in 1997. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife Agnes Goodrich of Wheeler, MI; daughter Cathy and Dan Finlan of Wheeler, MI; daughter Margaret Espinoza of Wheeler, MI; son Fred and Emma Goodrich of Rosebush, MI; son Glenn and Amy Goodrich of St. Louis, MI; son Robert and Monica Goodrich of Breckenridge, MI; daughter Jennifer and Roger Toner of St. Louis, MI; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother Ferris and Alice Goodrich of Lachine, MI; sister Rita and Pat McDonald of Florida; sister Jean and Jack Gries of Florida; brother Melvin and Sherry Goodrich of Hubbard Lake, MI; brother Kenneth and Janie Goodrich of Gaylord, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sally Goodrich, and a brother Jerry Goodrich.
