George "Junior"

George Napier, "Junior" age 74, of Corunna, MI passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Mark Kincaid will officiate. Burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2011 from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.

George was born in Verda, Kentucky on November 28, 1936, the son of George A. and Anna Mae (Giles) Napier. He was a graduate of Evarts High School, Evarts, KY. George married Barbara Tribfelner on September 2, 1960 in Elsie, MI. He resided most of his life in the Owosso and Corunna areas. George retired from Chevrolet Truck & Bus of Flint. George was an avid music lover; he played the guitar and loved to sing.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Napier of Corunna, MI, daughter Terri and Frank Gennaccaro of Brighton, MI, 2 sons; Troy and LeAnn Napier of Durand, MI, George A. Napier of Owosso, MI, 7 grandchildren; Jessica & Jennifer Gennaccaro, Spencer, Skylar & Seth Napier, Ashlee & Jorja Napier, 1 great-grandchild Giavanna Sobh, 4 sisters; Retha Jean Zimmerman of Owosso, MI, Christine and Arnold Lundy of Owosso, MI, Bettie Sue and John LaLonde of Elsie, MI, Brenda and Don Woodworth of Owosso, MI, 3 brothers; Jack and Judy Napier of Corunna, MI, Billy Napier of Owosso, MI, Jerry and Cathy Napier of Owosso, MI, and 2 sisters-in-law; Gertrude and Dean Dunham of Elsie, MI, and Patsy Tribfelner of Oakley, MI. George was preceded in death by his parents.
