George L. "Les" Perkins, age 55, of Owosso, MI passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Chaplain Beverly Adcock will officiate. Visiting with his family and friends will be prior to the service on Friday from 11-1 PM.
Les was born in Goodrich, Michigan on June 15, 1954, the son of Richard and Donna (Burns) Perkins. Les resided most of his life in Owosso and served his country in the U.S. Army. Les married Kathleen Kazmer in February 20, 1989 in Corunna, MI.
Les will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed by CNI of Owosso in maintenance for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Perkins of Owosso, MI, 5 children; Carie and Aaron Bernard of Flowery Branch, GA, James Perkins of Burton, MI, Keagan Kazmer of Owosso, MI, Kaspar Kazmer of Owosso, MI, Kim Kazmer of Owosso, MI, 7 grandchildren, parents Richard and Donna Perkins of Snowflake, AZ, 4 sisters; Jeannie and David Tanks of Virginia, Tina Goddard of Florida, Christy and Rick Olsen of Arizona, Julie Hill of Arizona; 4 brothers; Richard and Millie Perkins of Marion Springs, MI, Michael and Kathy Perkins of Oakley, MI, Don Perkins of Arizona, and Jeff Perkins of Arizona.
