George Tesarik

George Joe Tesarik, age 83, of Bannister, MI died Saturday, November 30th, 2013 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Wednesday, December 4th at 11:00 A.M., Mr. Thomas J. Bradley will officiate.
Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, MI.

Visitation will be held on Monday 6-8 P.M. December 2, 2013 and on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI.

George was born in Perrinton, Michigan on December 27, 1929, the son of Frank and Lillian (Ondracka) Tesarik. He graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1948. On December 5, 1955 he married Shirley Gean Miller in Corunna, Michigan.

He served his country in the US Army and worked for Michigan Milk Producers Association in Ovid, Michigan retiring in 1992. He also ran the family farm and enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He was a member of the Ovid VFW Post.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Tesarik of Bannister, MI; 3 daughters, Patricia and Rick Hofstetter of Pompeii, MI; Pamela and Brad Worden of Dimondale, MI; Christa and Rodney Bill of Eaton Rapids, MI; 2 sons, George Tesarik Jr. of Lansing, MI; James Tesarik of Bannister, MI; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Rose Toles, Ann and Dale Stutsman,
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Mary Adams
