Georgia H. Spindler, age 89, of Alma, Michigan died Thursday, June 30th, 2011 at Masonic Pathways, in Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 5th at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Thomas Messer will officiate and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until time of service. at Peace Lutheran Church, Alma, Michigan.
Georgia was born in Flint, Michigan on June 17, 1922, the daughter of Bert E. and Katherine (Brown) Hiles. She had graduated from Saginaw High School.
On August 22, 1953 she married Emil Spindler at Zion Lutheran Church in Freeland, Michigan, Emil died December 25, 2004. She had resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan and was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Georgia had worked for General Motors from 1941 to 1953, she also worked at Consumers Power Co. and State Farm Insurance. She was the church secretary at Peace Lutheran Church. Georgia was a certified Braille Transcriber, she also enjoyed knitting, golf, bowling, fishing and camping. Georgia was also very active in the St. Louis Library.
She is survived by nieces & nephews. Georgia was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 sister, Marion Woolever, 2 brothers Harold and Robert Hiles.
