Gerald Elmer McClenathan

     Gerald Elmer McClenathan, age 85, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, Michigan.

     Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI, at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2023, with Pastor Carl Cecil officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, MI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

     Gerald was born in Sumner, Michigan on February 2, 1938, the son of Howard Elmer and Eva May (Walker) McClenathan, the oldest of four children. He attended Sumner School and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1956. Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He liked to take walks, watch TV, and was an avid reader.
