Gerald Richard Peters age 58 of East Lansing, Michigan formerly of Owosso, died Friday, August 11, 2006 at his home.
Memorial Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Kathy Murphy will officiate. Visitation will be 10 A.M. until the time of service.
Gerald was born in Owosso, Michigan on February 20, 1948 the son of Clayton A. and Florence E. ( Crane ) Peters. He was raised in Owosso, he attended and graduated from Owosso High Schoolwht the class of 1966. He join the Navy and moved to California and then returned to Owosso 13 years ago. Gerald served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater, and he worked as a cosmetologist at Mane Street Academy in Owosso, Michigan.
He is survived by 2 sisters Sharon & Jerry Criner of Ovid, MI, Barbara & Richard Bodell of Muskegon, MI, 1 brother Donald & Patricia Peters of Owosso, MI, cousin & special friend, Lewanna & Ben Barker of East Lansing, MI, several nieces & nephews and 2 great nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers; Dan, Jim, and Mike, and 1 sister Marie Davis.
Memorials may be made to LAN - Lansing Aids Network or Hospice of Lansing, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
