Geraldine Geiger

Geraldine Irene Geiger, age 103, of Clare, MI, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her sons home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 11, 2021, with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Geraldine was born in Millbrook, MI on May 9, 1918, the daughter of William Harrison and Maude Belle (Briggs) Smith. Geraldine graduated from Ovid High School with the class of 1937.  Geraldine married Clarence "Pudge" Geiger on November 14, 1938. He passed away in 1985.

Geraldine worked at Vaughn Seed Company for many years. Her family and friends were very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. Geraldine was very involved in her son & daughter's childhood. She loved throwing dance parties for her kids and their friends and she was a den mother. She also liked spending time at Higgin's Lake and sitting on the beach in Florida.

She is survived by her son Kim and Susan Geiger of Clare, MI, son in law Joe Stehlik of Owosso, MI, grandchildren: Brian and Connie Stehlik, Debbie and Doug Wirostek, Eric and Rachel Stehlik, Scott and Deb Stehlik, Karl and Jenn Geiger, and Kevin and Stacie Geiger, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, daughter Virginia Stehlik, granddaughter Sarah Wirostek, and brothers: Franklin Smith and Clifford Smith.
