Geraldine McCallum

Gerry McCallum age 90 of Alma, Michigan died Saturday, May 01, 2004 at Wilcox Health Care Center in Alma.
Funeral Services will be held Monday morning May 3, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate and burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Gerry was born in Pinegrove, West Virginia the daughter of William Arthur and Ida E. ( Knisley ) Johnson. She resided most of her life in St. Louis and Alma area. She was married to Louis Salladay, Louis preceded her in death, she then married Archie McCallum, who also preceded her in death.
She started out working at Govers Sporting Goods in Mt. Pleasant in her early years. After that, she was employed at the Creamery in St. Louis for many years in the 1950s. She also worked at the Michigan Chemical Plant, and later went to work at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma in the housekeeping department until her retirement.
Survivors include her son, Ronald E. Salladay Sr. of St. Louis, Michigan, 1 Son in Law, Albert W. Todd of Dewitt, Ohio, 7 grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 husbands, a daughter Lorene, 2 sisters, and a brother. Memorials can be made to the family.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, 117 North East Street, St. Louis, Michigan.
