Glen M. Hoyt age 81 of St. Louis, Michigan died on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Aleda Lutz Veterans Administration Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. Funeral service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:30-8:00 P. M. with Pastor Ron Frederick officiating and burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan.
Glen was born on March 5, 1926 in St. Louis, Michigan the son of Ralph and Ada (Little) Hoyt. He graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1944 and was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. On October 5, 1946 he married Mavis Robinson in St. Louis. Glen served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, he was a lifelong farmer, and enjoyed his family and his farm. He was also a member of Porter Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Hoyt of St. Louis, Michigan, 4 children, Gary & Margaret Hoyt, of St. Louis, Michigan, Glenda & Reggie Bloomquist of St. Louis, Michigan, Peggy & Bernard Baert of St. Louis, Michigan, Andy Hoyt of St. Louis, Michigan, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Memorial may be made to the Aleda Lutz Veterans Administration Hospital or the Porter Free Methodist Church.
