Glenn Conger

Glenn F. Conger age 77 of Ovid, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at the Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, MI.
Mr. Conger was a farmer and truck driver and formerly owned and operated Melody Bar in Owosso, MI. He served in the U.S. Army during WW2.
Services will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Ovid, MI, Friday, February 6, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Rev.Fr. Paul Cummings will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Henderson, MI. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Conger was born in Rush Township, Michigan, April 29, 1926, the son of Frank and Hattie (Baker) Conger. He lived in Rush Township and Ovid most of his life. He married Lillian C. Ackels in Owosso.
Survivors include: one daughter, Hazel (Dick) Grinnell of Ovid, MI; three sons, Roger (Bobbie) Ackels of Houston, TX, Rodrick Ackels of Owosso, MI; 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 11great great grandchildren; one brother Ivan (Dorothy) Conger, Owosso MI, four nieces and three nephews.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian (Ackels), his parents, son Richard Ackels, sister, Wanda and brother, Paul.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Ovid Healthcare Center or Shiawassee County Historical Society
The family is being served by the Smith Family Funeral Homes, 221 East Main Street Elsie, Michigan.
