Glenn Robert "Bob" Koons, age 78, of Williamston, MI died Friday, April 8, 2011 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:00 P.M., Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 for one hour prior to services at Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Bob was born in Ithaca, Michigan on November 8, 1932, the son of Glenn Roscoe and Mabel Matilda (Huddleston) Koons. Bob graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1951. Bob served in the U.S. Army, and had resided in Williamston for the past 30 years. He was very active and loved to bowl and play golf. Bob was a quiet kind hearted guy who enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by 2 sisters; Virginia Cole of Alma, MI, Patricia and William Watson of Alma, MI, brother Richard and Barbara Koons of Mt. Pleasant, MI, sister in law Marlene Koons of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and several friends, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and a brother.
