Glenn Dale Unruh

      Glenn Dale Unruh, age 87, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.
     A Memorial Service at Edgewood Church of God, Ithaca, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, with Pastor Dave Perry officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, MI, at a later date.
      Glenn was born in Newark Township, Michigan on September 19, 1937, the son of John and Susie (Unruh) Unruh. He served his country in the U.S. Marines. On December 1, 1962, Glenn married Barbara Joanne Hoard at Edgewood Church of God. They have been blessed with sixty-two years of marriage.
     Glenn was very proud of his work volunteering in the woodshop at Ithaca High School. He helped build and maintain many community projects geared toward children. He always enjoyed a spirited discussion over a caffeinated drink. At the age of 16, Glenn had his own Sealtest Ice Cream route. He drove truck for many years and later discovered a passion for woodworking. He had his own woodshop where he enjoyed making many beautiful gifts and things to sell.
     He is survived by his wife Barb; three children: Kelley Unruh of Clinton Township, MI; Brian Unruh of Ypsilanti, MI; and Steven (Lynette) Unruh of Oxford, MI; three grandchildren: Claire, Courtney, and Carter. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law: Robert (Peggy) Hoard, and Keith (Patti) Hoard; sisters-in-law: Joyce Hoard, Marjorie Pollard, and Mary Strouse; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: John (Nadine) Unruh, Helen (Paul) Haynes, Roy (Phyllis) Unruh, and Joan (Eli) Peachey; brothers-in-law: Phil Strouse, Roger Hoard, and Clyde Pollard.
