Gloria Putnam

Our dear mother, Gloria May Putnam went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday December 24, 2018 at age 93 years.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.

Gloria was born in Spring Wells, MI on August 24, 1925, the daughter of Paul Leonard and Bessie Ellen (McAdams) Krebiehl.  Gloria graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI with the class of 1943. She went on to graduate with honors from Lansing Community College, where she earned her bachelors degree in nursing. She married Burl D. Putnam in November of 1946, in Laingsburg, MI; Burl passed away in 1965.

She enjoyed drawing pictures and gardening. She was a nurse by trade at Sparrow Hospital and others. She was a member of Ovid Bible Church.

She is survived by her sons: Leonard D. Putnam, of Ovid, MI; and Thomas P.  Putnam, of Ovid, MI; 4 grandchildren: Carmen L. Putnam, Leonard J. Putnam, Thomas P. Putnam, and Luke D.  Putnam, sister Sally Jean Evanov, and brother John Paul Krebiehl.  She is also survived by one great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind friends: Pastor Scott and Debbie Seelhoff, Sandy Putnam, Sandy Reynolds, and many others, and Twinkie her cat.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and great grandson Brandon.
