Gordon H. Bailey age 77 of St. Louis, MI died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Schneppa�(TM)s Healthcare Center, St. Louis, MI.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday June 26, 2005 at Bethany Township Hall from 1-3 P.M. There will be no Visitation. Burial will take place at Wright Cemetery Alma, MI.
Gordon was born in Gratiot County, MI on July 25, 1927 the son of Albert and Ethel ( Hearn ) Bailey. He was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, MI and attended St. Louis Schools. Gordon married Ruth Olson on May 12, 1951 in Indiana. He was a lifelong farmer in the area. In the past he delivered millk for McDonald Dairy. He loved to play cards, fish, read, and getting together with his family . He enjoyed tending to his garden
He is survived by his wife Ruth Bailey of St. Louis, MI, 4 children; Debbie & Jim Montague of Fairview, MI, Tad & Terry Bailey of St. Louis, MI, David & Teresa Bailey of St. Louis, MI, Kristi Bailey & special friend Lisa Allen of Lansing, MI, grandchildren; Joshua & Mary Anne Montague of Verona, WI, Jenny & Paul Hinze of Lansing, MI, Bethany Bailey of St. Louis, MI, Benjamin Bailey of St. Louis, MI, Sarah Bailey of St. Louis, MI, Katie Bailey of St. Louis, MI, Emily Bailey of St. Louis, MI, great grandchildren; Dexter & Brody Montague & Hunter Hinze 2 sister; Verna Gratrick of New Lennox, IL, Rachel & Jerry Adler of Manistique, MI, and 1 brother Jim & Carol Bailey of Cadillac, MI. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 brother Lawrence Bailey, and 1 sister Dorothy Clark.
Memorials may be made to Howe Memorial Library in Breckenridge, MI or T.A. Cutler Memorial Library in St. Louis, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
