Gordon Bennett

Gordon Duane Bennett age 66 of Ithaca, Michigan died Thursday, October 4, 2007 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM. Pastor George Showers will officiate with burial at New Haven Township Cemetery New Haven Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Gordon was born in Lyons, Michigan on November 14, 1940 the son of Paul Henry and Eleanor ( Dickinson ) Bennett. He resided in Ithaca, Michigan for many years and graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1959. Gordon married Lois Crawfis on December 3, 1961 in Vestaburg, Michigan. Gordon retired from Alma Products in 2003. He was also a farmer. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Gordon was a member of New Haven Church.

He is survived by his wife Lois Bennett of Ithaca, MI, 2 children Teresa & Doug Puffpaff of Carson City, MI, Rick & Barb Bennett of Lake Ann, MI, 5 grandchildren Laura Ann, Melissa Sue, Chris, Heather, and Cody , 1 sister Barbara & Dave Tatero of Lansing, MI, 2 brothers; Marion Bennett of Hubbardston, MI, Pete Bennett of Hubbardston, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers Larry & John.

Memorials may be made to New Haven Church or Mid-Michigan Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.
