Gordon Dean Bogart, age 56, of Edmore, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous fight with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Beginnings Christian Family Fellowship in Six Lakes on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastors Tim Eldred and Dick Eldred officiating. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 2-8 PM with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Nw Beginnings Chrisian Family Fellowship Church in Six Lakes, Michigan.
Gord was born in Sheridan, Michigan on April 23, 1955, the son of Dean and Sharon (Conklin) Bogart. He graduated Montabella High School with the class of 1973. He married Pamela (Peterson) Bogart on June 13, 1980 in Stanton, MI. Gord was a lifelong resident of Six Lakes area. His passion and pride was owning and operating Bogart Construction in Six Lakes for 25 years, and was a member of Home Builders Association. He loved his work, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and mushrooming. Gord enjoyed special time with his son on hunting trips to Nebraska. He especially enjoyed spending time at the cabin with his grandchildren. He was a member of New Beginnings Christian Family Fellowship in Six Lakes, MI.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Pamela Bogart of Edmore, MI, 3 daughters; Brenda and Tim Nemeth of Lakeview, MI, Michelle and Josh Lockhart of Grand Rapids, MI, Amber and Jason VanderMolen of Grand Rapids, MI, son Gordy and Heather Bogart of Six Lakes, MI, mother Sharon Bogart of Six Lakes, MI, 9 grandchildren; Drew, Cayden, Lexie, Keeley, Cameron, Alayna, Ashlyn, Alyssa, and Mason, 2 sisters; Nita and Mike Vroma of Six Lakes, MI and Robin Bogart of Ionia, MI, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dean Bogart, and his grandparents.
